In a world of endless headlines, some struggles and some solutions remain persistently overlooked. My work through this UK-registered charity is to create a dedicated channel—a conduit of attention, resources, and meaningful advocacy—directly to those places and people where it can catalyse the most profound change.
Our Mission and Foundational Beliefs
My core mission is to channel resources, attention, and advocacy to overlooked crises and grassroots changemakers. This is driven by a deep, unwavering commitment to regions like Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where conflict and instability have created immense hardship, yet where incredible resilience and leadership, particularly among women, shine through. My partnership with visionary activist Neema Namadamu and her Maman Shujaa centre in Bukavu is a perfect embodiment of this belief, supporting a movement where women are architects of their own peace and prosperity.
Why We Focus on Solidarity
Solidarity, to me, is more than sympathy; it is an active, informed stance of partnership. It means moving beyond a model of distant charity to one of aligned purpose. In focusing my advocacy on Eastern Congo, I choose to stand with communities navigating immense complexity, recognising that their voices and solutions must lead the way. This solidarity is the very channel through which isolated struggles become shared causes, and where distant supporters become part of a collective force for good.
